BYD brand Fang Cheng Bao has unveiled its first model, the Leopard 5 (Bao 5), which will be exhibited at the Chengdu motor show on August 25.
Leopard 5 is an off-road SUV featuring DMO (Dual Mode Off-Road). The hybrid combines a 1.5T or 2.0T high-power engine with a CTC battery.
Fang Cheng Bao will use its own sales channels in around 60 cities aiming to capture a trend of individualized vehicles in the high-end market.
While specific prices weren’t disclosed, leaked information suggests a price over 400,000 yuan (US$55,000).
