The Ministry of Culture and Tourism said Wednesday it has signed a cooperation framework agreement with Baidu.
The two will work on big data services, smart cultural and tourism development, and intangible cultural heritage dissemination, to accelerate the digital development of the cultural and tourism industries.
According to the agreement, Baidu will continue its national tourism map calibration work. By integrating official data, it will locate public cultural venues, tourist facilities, and other places nationwide, providing the public with more timely, authoritative, and accurate information services for travel, search, navigation, and other scenarios, thereby enhancing cultural and tourism information services and promoting cultural and tourism consumption.
