TAO Yiping has retired as president of Industrial Bank.
Turning 60 this year, Tao graduated from Xiamen University in 1984 and had a long career at Bank of China. He became the president of Industrial Bank in 2016. During his tenure, Tao drove the bank's digital transformation.
CHEN Xinjian, the chairman of the supervisory board, has also resigned and is believed to be in line to be the next bank president.
Chen, 56, took over as chairman of the supervisory board in April 22 last year.
