During the 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Meituan Dianping introduced its latest fourth-generation unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for urban logistics delivery.
This new model, developed over two years, boasts a maximum delivery distance of 5 kilometers, a 35 percent improvement over its predecessor. The UAV can withstand challenging environments including rain, snow, strong winds, and temperatures ranging from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius.
With six-fold foldable three-blade silent propellers, the UAV ensures safe flights even if a rotor malfunctions. Equipped with 14 multimodal perception units, redundant backup systems, and a three-level safety assurance mechanism including parachute deployment, Meituan's UAV prioritizes safety and reliability. Having already accumulated nearly 170,000 deliveries in multiple cities, Meituan continues to redefine urban delivery with this advanced UAV technology.
