On June 26, JD Logistics announced that CEO YU Rui is stepping down for health reasons, with JD.com product development division CEO HU Wei taking over. Meanwhile, the former CFO of JD Health CAO Dong will take over the product development division.
YAN Xiaobing, the former head of JD.com International, is to establish a retail division to integrate businesses like 7Fresh and Jingxi into an independent unit reporting to JD Group CEO Sandy Xu.
Paul Yan, vice president of JD.com has left the company, with SHANG Xin taking his place.
Yu’s departure comes as no surprise, as his health issues have been known for some time. His successor Hu has a long history with JD.com and its subsidiaries and affiliates.
