The Dragon Boat Festival holiday this year spans June 22 to 24. As the break approaches, people with travel plans have already started booking their trips.
This Dragon Boat Festival is expected to be the busiest for five years, with high search and booking volumes. However, compared to May Day, flight and hotel prices are lower.
Hotel prices have dropped. Flight tickets are down by nearly 20 percent.
The Dragon Boat Festival attracts young travelers, including students looking to travel before the end of the term and graduates embarking on graduation trips.

Additionally, many travelers who missed out on travel opportunities during the May Day holiday due to high prices or unavailability are planning trips. Popular destinations have experienced a decrease in hotel prices, as travelers opt for more relaxed, less crowded vacations.
While tourist cities remain popular choices, almost any city can offer a “not expensive, nor crowded” experience. Travelers are mainly focusing on destinations within a two-hour travel radius of home.
Some travelers are planning longer journeys by combining the Dragon Boat Festival holiday with additional days off, allowing them to explore more distant destinations. There is growing interest in unique travel experiences, including luxury train journeys and niche destinations.
