Baiyun District in Guangzhou, China is transforming itself into a logistics superpower. The district has always been a significant hub for the industry, with a large volume of goods passing through its facilities.

However, it is now expanding its focus beyond traditional logistics and developing a world-class modern logistics industry cluster.

Baiyun is attracting logistics business because of facilities at Baiyun Airport, China’s busiest, seeing more than 10 million passengers in Q1.

A comprehensive bonded zone at the airport, the largest such zone in China, covers nearly 740 hectares and focuses on bonded logistics, high-end bonded trade, cross-border e-commerce and biomedicine.

Additionally, the district is home to a railway container center and serves as a crucial transportation and logistics hub.

The development of the logistics industry in Baiyun District has been accompanied by growth in other sectors, including cross-border e-commerce, cosmetics and home furnishings.

These industries have thrived, benefiting from the district’s robust logistics infrastructure. The district aims to fully integrate logistics, commerce and manufacturing.

Striving to leverage the strength of its existing logistics, optimize its industrial layout, and create a good business environment, Baiyun is positioning itself as a key player in China’s logistics landscape.
