Tongyi Qianwen, Alibaba’s large language model is to be embedded into all Alibaba products, CEO Daniel Zhang said on Tuesday.
All products will be integrated into the model and upgraded, Zhang told an Ali Cloud meeting. Large models will be embedded in all walks of life, he added.
“We hope this will take the intelligence of all Alibaba services to a whole new level and enable things that were unimaginable before,” he said.
Alibaba started developing its large language model in 2019. The company’s enterprise collaboration platform DingTalk and intelligent voice assistant Tmall Genie are piloting the Tongyi model. With the help of AI, DingTalk can now perform tasks such as generating meeting notes, creating campaign ideas and proofreading DingTalk documents.
Alibaba will give corporate users access to the model and allow them to train it to meet their needs.
