BYD to build new EV engine plant in Dongguan

Chinese EV maker BYD has break ground on an EV engine plant in Dongguan, Guangdong Province on Friday. The company invested 6.5 billion yuan (US$945.5 million) in the plant, which is due to finish construction next year. The plant will have 11 factory buildings and seven dormitory buildings. The annual value of production of the plant is expected to reach 17 billion yuan.
