Lin Lan to step down as Hisense chairman, president Jia Shaoqian takes over

Chinese home appliance manufacturer Hisense said on Tuesday morning that LIN Lan is stepping down as chairman and its president JIA Shaoqian will take over.

Since Jia became the president, Hisense has seen its revenue up 45 percent and profit up 77 percent over the past four years.

Lin, 64, joined Hisense in 2006. He was in charge was the company’s overseas business until last year when he was appointed as the chairman. Lin will remain a senior adviser to the company’s overseas business.
