Zeekr, the premium EV maker owned by China’s largest private automaker Geely, aims to deliver 140,000 Zeekr 001 this year, while developing two new models. Last year, Zeekr delivered 72,000 units.
Priced at least 300,000 yuan (US$44,000), Zeekr 001 has been criticized by owners. In July last year, Zeekr spent more than 300 million yuan to upgrade owners’ chips.
Deliveries of Zeekr’s MPV 009 started in January. The third model, according to vice president YANG Xueliang, will be an SUV, to be revealed at the Auto Shanghai exhibition in April. The price will be above 200,000 yuan.
