BYD Electronics has obtained a tobacco production enterprise license issued by China’s State Tobacco Monopoly Administration. This means that BYD Electronics is an e-cigarette OEM as a legal entity.
BYD has completed patent applications for a full range of electronic atomization products and the construction of automated production lines.
BYD Electronics is a manufacturing enterprise spun off from BYD and is listed independently on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It spans many fields, including smartphones, laptops, masks and electronic cigarettes.
Smoore is currently the leader in the field of e-cigarettes. In 2021, Smoore’s global market share expanded to 22.8 percent, surpassing the sum of second to fifth places. However, as manufacturing giants such as BYD and Luxshare enter the market, Smoore will inevitably be impacted.
After BYD Electronics’ announcement on August 4, its shares rose by more than 12 percent.
