Daqo New Energy achieved revenue of 164 billion yuan (US$2 billion) in H1. Net profit was 9.5 billion yuan, up 341 percent.
Daqo has an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of high-purity polysilicon. In Q1, Daqo New Energy’s polysilicon output was 66,700 tons, up 61.6 percent, and 18.3 percent of China’s domestic output.
Established in 2008, Daqo’s primary business is the manufacture of high-purity photovoltaic polysilicon. Listed on the Shanghai Stock in July last year, the company’s assets were worth 43 billion yuan as of June.
