All Lady M stores in China will close on September 10, the cake boutique’s operator Muxin Consulting said in a statement on Thursday.
Muxin said the brand owner insisted on closing all Chinese branches. Reports from PR Newswire said Muxin’s agreement with Lady M ended in April, and instead of renewing the contract, the cake boutique has decided to run the Chinese operation itself.
Lady M closed a US$20 million (130 million yuan) financing round in June, part of the money raised will be used to expand the Chinese market.
