Lithium battery manufacturer Sunwoda Electronic plans to pay US$27 million (180 million yuan) to acquire Laguna Caro from Argentinian lithium miner Goldinka Energy SA. Goldinka is the third largest lithium mining company in Argentina.
Sunwoda had an installed battery capacity of 2.4 GWh, up over 780 percent, and is the fastest growing among major Li battery makers.
Last month, Sunwoda announced that it intends to apply for a listing on the Swiss or London stock exchanges by issuing global depositary receipts (GDRs).
