As of the end of June, Shanghai Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI) has received more than 100 ship design orders, completing 95 percent of the annual target.
SDARI has a 40 percent share of the domestic ship design market and 22.5 percent of the global market.
Founded in 1964, SDARI is a ship design consultant under China State Shipbuilding Corporation. The institute mainly develops and designs bulk carriers, container ships, luxury cruise ships, and marine resource development equipment.
