In Q1, five listed domestic express delivery listed companies, (S.F., YTO, ZTO, Yunda and STO Express) made more than 100 billion yuan (US$15 billion) between them. Their total net profit exceeded 3 billion yuan. Profit growth was significantly higher than revenue growth.
The net profits of YTO, STO, and SF Express doubled or tripled. Yunda’s net profit was up 52 percent, while ZTO’s rose 34.9 percent. JD Logistics was the only loss-maker among the top delivery companies.
In April, 7.5 billion deliveries were made, down 11.9 percent.
