On Monday, CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard delivered the 99,000-square-meter VLEC Pacific Ineos Grenadier, to PACIFIC GAS, the shipyard’s first delivery since resuming production after the Shanghai covid outbreak.
Jiangnan Shipyard has orders for four VLEC ships. The first was delivered ahead of schedule on December 28 last year. Two more are scheduled to be delivered this year.
Jiangnan shipyard controls two-thirds of the world’s VLEC market. In the year to date, Jiangnan has acquired 16.4 billion yuan (US$2.4 billion) in commercial vessel contracts, up 76 percent.
