E-commerce giant JD.com’s total revenue for Q1 was 240 billion yuan (US$140billion), up 18 percent. Net service revenue was 35.2 billion yuan, an increase of 26.3 percent.
Income from operations reached 2.4 billion yuan, compared to 1.7 billion yuan for the same period last year. Non-GAAP net profit attributable to shareholders was 4 billion yuan, unchanged from last year.
JD.com’s annual active customer accounts increased by 16.2 percent to 580 million in the twelve months ended March 31, from 500 million in the same period last year. In Q1 this year, the average shopping frequency of users reached a record high.
