The current highest price per ton of silicon material is only about 10,000 yuan below the record high of 273,000 yuan set in late November last year. Production of silicon has declined. In April, the total domestic supply was about 64,000 tons, insufficient to meet demand.
The price of silicon wafers has also risen. Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor has raised its prices four times this year.
According to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Silicon Industry Branch, this week, the domestic single-crystal re-feeding price range was 252,000-260,000 yuan/ton, and the average transaction price rose to 255,400 yuan/ton, a week-on-week increase of 0.83 percent. The price range of single-crystal dense materials is 250,000-258,000 yuan/ton, and the average transaction price rose to 253,300 yuan/ton, up 0.96 percent.
