Tencent will close its six-year-old game streaming arm Penguin Esports on June 7, the tech giant said on Thursday.
On April 7, Penguin Esports stopped taking on new users or live-streamers. The app will be removed from the app stores and customer service will be closed by December 30.
Founded by Tencent in 2016, Penguin E-sports was the third game streamer platform in China, behind Douyu and Huya.
