JD.com is laying off members of its platform ecology, business development, technology, and data Intelligence departments and JD Worldwide. about 20 percent of the business development have been given their marching orders.
The layoffs also involve fresh graduates and interns.
JD.com has reportedly cut 10 to 15 percent of staff in its group-buying division Jingxi Pinpin. For some, the sacking comes as a surprise. “Many departments were still hiring in mid-February,” said one unfortunate.
JD.com has not made any official comment on the lay-offs.
