LONGi Group has signed a long-order agreement to buy 200,000 tons of polysilicon from Tongwei Group, about half of Tongwei’s production. The total value of the transaction is estimated at around 45 billion yuan (US$7 billion).
LONGi is the world’s largest supplier of silicon wafers and computer components, while Tongwei tops the world in silicon materials and batteries.
