EV startup Faraday Future’s first pre-production model is off the assembly line, the company claimed during a press conference, with mass production of the FF91 to begin in Q3.
Presales began in July last year, as JIA Yueting, founder of FF, promised the FF91 would be on sale by this July. FF claimed to have received more than 14,000 orders, but an investigation showed that only about 100 potential buyers had made a down payment.
No details of the car are available. There is no mention of price or exactly when the vehicle will make it to the streets. CEO Carsten Breitfeld previously indicated a price tag of at least US$200,000 (1.26 million yuan).
