Last year, Telsa delivered 936,000 cars worldwide, close to double 2020’s number. Revenue of US$53.8-billion (340 billion yuan) was up 71 percent.
Tesla’s income from operations in Q4 last year rose to US$2.6 billion from US$2 billion in Q3 as costs fell and deliveries rose.
The Shanghai factory made more than half of last year’s models 3 and Y (51.7 percent), 97 percent of the company’s deliveries, with 70,000 cars rolling out the factory gates in December. Of cars made in Shanghai, more than 160,000 went overseas.
