Mobile technologies and services are expected to contribute $2.1 trillion to China's economy by 2030, up from $1.5 trillion in 2025, according to a GSMA report released ahead of MWC Shanghai, which opens on June 24.
The report said mobile technologies generated economic value equivalent to 7.2% of China's gross domestic product in 2025.
China accounted for more than 40% of global 5G connections in 2025, according to the report.
