CVTE, one of China's largest display-equipment makers, is stepping up its overseas push with its MAXHUB interactive meeting displays, which have reached more than 140 markets with shipments exceeding 600,000 units, the company said.

The Guangzhou-based firm, known for supplying panels for offices and classrooms, has expanded into enterprise and education products through its MAXHUB and Seewo brands. Demand for large-format interactive flat panels — touch screens that integrate displays, cameras and conferencing functions — is rising as hybrid work drives upgrades from projectors and traditional office tools. Market researcher DISCIEN expects global shipments to reach 913,000 units by 2029.

Global tech firms entered the segment early, with Microsoft launching the Surface Hub in 2015 and Google introducing the Jamboard in 2016. Chinese suppliers now dominate the commercial market. Industry tracker RUNTO estimates China's interactive display shipments grew 18.7% last year, with MAXHUB taking 28% of the commercial market. CVTE's interim filing shows overseas revenue from MAXHUB devices climbed 59.56% in the first half of 2025.

Market data from Aowei Cloud Network (AVC) show there are more than 100 million meeting rooms worldwide, including over 20 million in China. At an average device price of about 10,000 yuan (US$1,407), the addressable market is measured in trillions of yuan.

CVTE CEO Xiao Hang said the company has treated overseas expansion as a core strategy since 2022, focusing enterprise products on developed markets and directing education devices to Belt and Road countries. He said the firm still has room to grow globally compared with more experienced peers.

A key element of its strategy is deeper integration with global software ecosystems. MAXHUB has partnered with Microsoft and Intel to launch several Teams-certified devices, which are essential for entering mainstream collaboration platforms in Western markets. At the InfoComm Latin America 2025 trade show, Microsoft showcased MAXHUB boards and commissioned the company to produce touchscreen modules for its new Surface ARM device — a move CVTE says reflects the speed of Chinese hardware R&D.

CVTE has also worked with Extron and Sennheiser to broaden access to North American and European AV-integration channels. The company now operates in eight countries — including the United States, India, the Netherlands, Thailand, Indonesia and the UAE — with 22 local teams and more than 35 partner factories. A new Dubai subsidiary opened in September, and additional markets are under review. Partnerships in Vietnam, Indonesia and India provide local manufacturing options based on cost and market conditions.

The firm is also moving into robotics. Its VibotPro team won a national dexterous-manipulation contest with the MAXHUB A3 robotic arm, while the MAXHUB X7 quadruped robot has been introduced to the market. CVTE has begun exporting commercial cleaning robots to Europe, Southeast Asia and Japan. The company has filed for a Hong Kong listing to support its global expansion and M&A plans.
