China's securities regulator has unveiled a new plan to optimize the Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII) regime — one of the country's oldest channels for overseas investors — in a bid to attract more long-term foreign capital.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) said the two-year plan will simplify market access, ease investment operations, and improve coordination between onshore and offshore markets while ensuring financial stability.
