Since opening in October 2018, the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge has handled more than 90 million passenger trips and 18.68 million vehicle crossings, according to the Zhuhai border checkpoint.
Traffic has accelerated in recent years. Passenger throughput reached 16.3 million in 2023 and surged to 27 million in 2024. So far this year, the bridge has already handled more than 21.2 million passengers, up 19% year on year. Officials expect annual volume to exceed 30 million for the first time in 2025.
