The 2025 World Robot Conference opened in Beijing on August 8, drawing over 200 leading robotics firms from China and abroad, with a record number of humanoid robot companies taking part.
The five-day event features more than 50 firms involved in full-body humanoid robotics—more than any other robotics expo worldwide. Organized around three themes—industrial development, innovative applications, and technological integration—the conference will host over 400 speakers, including top scientists, international organization representatives, academicians and business leaders.
The accompanying exhibition spans three pavilions and includes more than 1,500 products from over 200 companies, with over 100 making their public debut. According to XU Xiaolan, president of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the conference has received backing from 28 international institutions and attracted over 10,000 participants from nearly 20 countries.
This year's theme, "Making robots smarter, Making embodied agents more intelligent" reflects China's ambition to lead in the next generation of smart robotics and embodied AI.
