Boton Technology said mining giant BHP has ordered its upgraded quadruped and biped robots developed in partnership with Unitree Robotics, marking a successful industrial application of the technology. The two companies are also co-developing unmanned inspection routes for long-distance transport in the field.
Boton said the collaboration will help build technical expertise for broader deployment, with client-tailored solutions planned. The company is also in talks with Chile's state-owned copper producer Codelco and other clients to explore further industrial applications, as it deepens its focus on intelligent automation.
