Alibaba International rolls out biggest June sale to seize tariff window

The trade platform is ramping up efforts to help Chinese exporters secure U.S. orders before higher tariffs kick in.

Alibaba.com, the international wholesale platform under Alibaba Group, has launched its biggest June promotion targeting the U.S. market, aiming to capitalize on a 90-day window before new U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods take effect. The campaign sets no entry threshold, allowing all merchants to participate, with registration opening soon.

On May 14, the day Washington’s tariff adjustments officially took effect, Alibaba.com launched a dedicated U.S. sales event. Data from the first day showed double-digit year-on-year growth in overall order volume, with top-selling categories including apparel, jewelry, beauty, home and garden, packaging, consumer electronics, and toys.

Auto parts saw the strongest growth, with a 62% year-on-year increase in orders, followed by machinery at 46%, and 3C & new energy products at 42%.
