XPeng's He Xiaopeng calls for policies on humanoid robots, smart driving, and eVTOL at the Two Sessions

He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPeng and an NPC deputy, has submitted four proposals at the Two Sessions, urging policy support to accelerate advancements in robotics, autonomous driving, and eVTOL aviation.

He advocates for subsidies on L3-level humanoid robots, drawing from early EV industry incentives to drive adoption among businesses and consumers. For autonomous driving, he proposes enabling low-speed unmanned parking and revising traffic laws to clarify accident liability for different levels of smart vehicles, alongside establishing industry standards for intelligent driving insurance.

In the eVTOL sector, he calls for a structured pilot certification system and transition training for traditional aircraft pilots. His proposals align with China’s broader push to foster innovation in AI, mobility, and next-generation transportation.
