On January 2, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (SWS), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, delivered the "SEASCOUT," a 114,000-ton Aframax tanker, to Greek shipping company Thenamaris. This marks the first vessel delivery by a Shanghai shipbuilder in 2025.
To date, SWS has delivered nearly 60 Aframax tankers and holds orders for over 20 more, reinforcing its position as a leader in mass production of this key product for the year.
