On November 27, data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) revealed that in October 2024, domestic smartphone shipments reached 29.67 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%. Among these, 5G smartphones accounted for 26.72 million units, up 1.1% year-on-year, representing 90.1% of total shipments for the month.
From January to October 2024, total domestic smartphone shipments reached 250 million units, marking an 8.9% year-on-year growth. Of these, 5G smartphones accounted for 214 million units, a 13.6% increase year-on-year, making up 85.5% of total shipments during the period.
