Chinese authorities said on Wednesday that FAN Cheng, the former party secretary of Air China who retired seven years ago, is under investigation on suspicion of serious discipline and law violation.
Fan, a former accountant, entered the civil aviation industry in 2001 and, over the next 20 years, witnessed the rapid development and transformation of the aviation sector.
Fan served as the chief accountant of Air China in 2004 and became vice president in 2006. In 2011, Fan was named the party secretary of Air China.
