Pipe China Energy Storage, established in Shanghai by Pipe China Group with 5 billion yuan (US$700 billion) of registered capital, will manage gas-storage facilities, rather than venturing into the field of batteries or other storage technologies.
The company will accelerate the construction of oil and gas infrastructure, and research the storage of gas, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and compressed air.
Established in 2019, Pipe China is engaged in the construction and operation of oil and gas pipelines and gas storage facilities. It is responsible for the connection of trunk pipelines and to the social pipeline network.
At its inception, Pipe China Group not only acquired natural gas pipelines and associated facilities but also incorporated some underground gas storage facilities.
