Car maker Chery’s EV marque Luxeed has launched the S7 sedan, the first vehicle to emerge from the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance.
Huawei is spinning off its intelligent car business into a new company and welcoming investment. In the future, all Huawei intelligent-driving technologies will be delivered through the alliance.
According to Huawei’s CEO of the Consumer BG YU Chengdong, the ecosystem will work with car manufacturers to create the most advanced and smart car platforms. For now, that means partnering with Seres on the groundbreaking Aito and with Chery on the Luxeed.
The S7 is a mid-to-large-sized sedan, priced from 249,800 (US,000), incorporating Huawei technology, boasting a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds. The vehicle can find parking spaces and avoid pedestrians.
Huawei’s battery platform provides a range of 215 km on a 5-minute charge providing. ADS 2.0 allows autonomous driving nationwide. The Harmony Alliance plans 100,000 super-fast charging stations nationwide by the end of 2024.
Reservations for the Aito M7 have surpassed 100,000, with monthly deliveries expected to pass 30,000 early next year. Pre-orders for the AITO M9 have exceeded 30,000.
