Short video platform Kuaishou has released its Q3 financial report with revenue up 20.8 percent year-on-year to 28 billion yuan, and a net profit of 3.2 billion yuan, up from the second quarter's 2.7 billion yuan.
But Kuaishou's e-commerce also faces some challenges, with daily and monthly active users increasing more slowly than ever before, even as more merchants join up.
E-commerce GMV in Q3 increased by 30.4 percent year-on-year to 290 billion yuan. Monthly sales of merchants on Kuaishou increased by about 50 percent.
During this year's Singles Day shopping event, Kuaishou's e-commerce GMV increased by nearly 50 percent.
