Ofilm Group, one of the world’s largest advanced high-technology manufacturing and assembly companies, has revealed 10.8 billion yuan (US$1.5 billion) in revenue for the first three quarters, generating a net loss of 300 million yuan. The net loss has decreased substantially from the same period last year.
The third quarter is the peak season for consumer electronics, with tApple and Huawei releasing new products.
As a component provider, Ofilm has seen its share price steadily rise since September 28, when rumors began that it would manufacture camera modules for the Huawei Mate60 series. While phone shipments continue downward, market sentiment has been boosted by the success of the Huawei device.
