The Jiyue 01 Max, the latest fruit of Baidu’s cooperation with Geely, was unveiled on Friday, with prices beginning at 249,900 (US$34,000).
Jiyue 01, a mid-range SUV larger and less expensive than the Tesla Model Y, is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon cockpit chip, equipped with dual neural processing units, packing a combined computing power of 60 TOPS.
The car’s voice recognition assistant, SIMO, can recognize commands from different passengers simultaneously offline, making it resilient to weak signal areas such as tunnels.
The Jiyue incorporates Baidu’s Ernie Bot, providing logical reasoning, strategic planning, and content generation capabilities.
The intelligent driving system uses dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips and is equipped with 28 sensors. Features like lane-keeping, automated parking assistance and collision warnings are available on all roads in cities nationwide. Point-to-point navigation and valet parking use come through Baidu’s Apollo.
Jiyue currently has more than 40 showrooms and over 30 service centers around the country. By the end of this year, the after-sales network will extend to over 120 cities.
Jiyue has used over 300,000 charging stations and plans to establish over 100 Jiyue brand fast charging stations in nine core cities by the end of this year.
