Car maker FAW has overhauled the boardroom with 30 high-ranking executives in new roles, as the company navigates a difficult transition to EVs.
Most significantly Hongqi, FAW’s luxury marque, is now led by LIU Yigong, FAW's Deputy general manager.
From 2018 to 2021, Hongqi sales rose from 33,000 to over 300,000. Since then sales growth has been only 3 percent.
This personnel shift is part of a broader effort to streamline operations and reposition the company in the competitive landscape of the evolving automotive industry.
